By all accounts, the Chevrolet Corvette C7-based Genovation GXE is one of the most insane electric cars in the world. Not only does it come with an all-electric motor that sends out 800 horsepower and 718 pound-feet of torque, but the way it does so — in complete silence — is jarring to our sensibilities.
The American-made GXE can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under three seconds, cover a quarter-mile in 10 seconds at around 140 mph, and do all that while boasting an EPA range of 175 miles.
For all that its car has accomplished, Genovation isn’t done using the GXE to break records. For its latest feat of speed and performance, the all-electric Corvette went to the Thunderhill Raceway in California and casually broke the track’s EV speed record without making any noise, literally and figuratively.
