Typically, the annual Neiman Marcus Christmas Book offers a crazy expensive special edition Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, or other high-end car. But this year, its automotive offering is more pandemic-themed. It’s a Bowlus RV, complete with the finest trimmings for your socially distanced adventures off the beaten path.
Those who buy the aluminum travel trailer from this year’s Christmas Book will receive an exclusive design consultation so they can customize the interior to their liking. With the purchase, Bowlus will donate $10,000 to The Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation, which supports the Boys and Girls Club of America.
This luxury road-tripper looks like the real deal. It’s based off the Bowlus Road Chief Endless Highway Performance Edition, which has enough room for four people to sleep and dine comfortably. The living area boasts heated floors, designer drapes, soft-closing drawers, and seating that converts to extra sleeping areas. In the bedroom, there’s enough room for twin mattresses which can be converted to a king. The large bathroom features a full-on shower with teak seating. According to Bowlus, the trailer’s electrical system can support off-the-grid travel from L.A. to New York City and back on a single charge.
So how much will it cost for this house on wheels? The price is $255,000. That’s not cheap, but it’s not as expensive as last year’s gift, a special Aston Martin DBS Superleggera designed Daniel Craig. That car went for $700,007. In 2018, Neiman Marcus got extra creative with a spy adventure in Las Vegas featuring high-speed supercar driving and jumping out of planes, all for more than $300,000. Back in 2017, Neiman Marcus offered special “Yours and Mine” Rolls-Royce Dawn convertibles, priced at more than $439,000.
